Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket you agree to receive information about the Event by email from the Event Organiser.

Tickets are sold and entry to the King of the Ranges Stockman's Challenge is provided, subject to the following;

NO REFUND POLICY

  • The King of the Ranges Stockman's Challenge Inc. (KOTR) will not refund tickets.

  • KOTR is an all weather event and will not be cancelled except on the advice of emergency services in extreme conditions or State Government Health Department directive.

  • KOTR reserves the right to cancel or change certain events due to weather or safety issues in which case no refund or exchange is applicable.

  • No refunds will be made if you choose for any reason not to attend KOTR.

  • The purchase of this ticket is your acknowledgement of understanding that activities, entertainment, events and competitions in the KOTR's program involve an element of risk for spectators.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

  • Ticket purchases are not transferable and may not be sold or transferred by You.

CHARGES

We reserve the right to charge a fee for the following:

  • Booking fees including credit card surcharges and administrative costs.

  • Ticket Replacement Fee. $20 fee for the replacement of lost, destroyed or stolen wristbands or hard copy tickets.

LIABILITY

The purchase of tickets is your acknowledgement of understanding that activities, entertainment, events and competitions in the KOTR’s program involve an element of risk for spectators. KOTR takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. All attendees enter the venue at their own risk and to the maximum extent permitted by the law, KOTR, its volunteers and all other persons involved in the organisation, sponsorship and promotion of the Event accept no liability for any injury, loss, claims, costs, expenses or damage (collectively “Claims”) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect to the supply of goods or services, or the ticket holders attendance at the Event, including liability for negligence.

KOTR, its volunteers and all other persons involved in the organisation, sponsorship and promotion of the event accept no liability for death or personal injury howsoever caused. By purchasing or obtaining a KOTR ticket or wristband each and every attendee indemnifies KOTR in respect of all Claims made in connection with their attendance at the Event and, to the full extent permitted by law, each patron releases and discharges KOTR, its volunteers and all other persons involved in the organisation, sponsorship and promotion of the Event, from all such Claims.

PROOF OF AGE

KOTR is open to all ages. Valid proof of age is required for all 18+ ticket holders at the Main Gate and Bar Area. You may be asked and must have proof of age photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol on the KOTR event grounds. KOTR reserve the right to evict any adult found providing alcohol for underage drinkers OR any underage person (or persons unable to provide proof of age ID) if found trying to purchase or consume alcohol.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

You cannot bring the following items into the KOTR grounds; illegal substances, alcohol, drugs, glass or any other items which the organisers consider dangerous or inappropriate.

CAMPING

Every person camping must purchase and hold valid gate and campsite tickets to be eligible for camping at KOTRs bush campsite. No tickets, No camping. Camping is only permitted in the designated area and not beyond the marked perimeter. KOTR will not be responsible for any belongings left behind or lost. All campsites must be vacated by 11am on the day your purchased campsite ticket expires.

  • 1 vehicle is permitted per campsite and must remain within the campsite boundary.

ACCESS TO CAMPSITES

Access to KOTR campsites opens at 12pm on the Wednesday before KOTR. You must depart by 11am on the day your camping ticket expires. Access to set up on campsites is from 12pm to 6pm. After Hours Arrivals. Late arriving campers ie after 6pm must park and wait for Camping Volunteers the next day to escort you to your campsite.

CAMPFIRES

Small cooking or campfires are permitted on your campsite in line with any and all Fire Danger Ratings and Total Fire Bans. You must comply with these rules or if asked to put out a fire by King of the Ranges volunteers. All fires must be contained within a fire pit or drum. GENERATORS

Only quiet generators are allowed. All generators must be turned off from 10pm to 6am daily.

SECURITY

Security will intermittently patrol the KOTR venue after hours. You are responsible for your own property.

BEHAVIOUR

You must ensure that You and Your invitees act in an orderly manner when attending the Event or at campsites. KOTR may refuse entry or evict you or any of your invitees if they are behaving in a disorderly, offensive, threatening or inappropriate manner towards any person or animal.

Any person behaving in a drunken, disorderly manner that causes disruption or danger to any other person or property within the KOTR grounds or Competitor Camping areas is subject to removal from the Grounds.

REFUSAL OF ENTRY

KOTR volunteers or organisers may refuse you entry into or remove you from the Event if you;

  • refuse to allow the volunteers or officials or their representatives to inspect bags, containers and vehicles at the Event.

  • fail to follow instructions from an Event Volunteer or Offical.

  • disrupt the Event or campers attending the KOTR in any way.

  • interfere with the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other persons at the KOTR.

  • have acquired a stolen or counterfeit ticket or wristband.

  • are an underage drinker.

  • do not obey the terms and conditions.

  • or if the organisers suspect you of any of the above.

DIRECTIONS OF KOTR VOLUNTEERS or OFFICIALS
You must follow the reasonable directions of KOTR volunteers or officials as required and comply with the law at all times during the event.

ALCOHOL

  • The Event venue is licensed and only alcohol purchased from the bar at the Event may be consumed in the Bar Area. BYO alcohol is not permitted within the Event venue and will be confiscated.

  • You must be of legal age (18 years) to purchase and consume alcohol at the Event.

  • We reserve the right to evict patrons who disobey or break Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation and the law. Copies of the liquor licence are located at the Bar and must be adhered to.

COPYRIGHT

Patrons may be photographed and/or filmed at the Event and these images may be used for a variety of printed, online and broadcast promotional and/or internal purposes in relation to the Event. If patrons do not wish to be photographed or filmed for these purposes, they must advise the photographer/camera operator direct.

Sound/video recordings of performances cannot be made without the prior written consent of KOTR. Photographs taken at the Event cannot be published without the prior consent of KOTR.

RECORDED IMAGES

KOTR reserves the right to use official photographs, video, or other digital media (‘photo’) taken at the event in any and all of its publications, including web based publications, without payment or other consideration. This shall apply in perpetuity.

The KOTR reserves the right to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, the KOTR does not require the subject’s approval for the use of material wherein the likeness appears. The subject shall have no right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

SIGNAGE

By attending this Event you AGREE to obey all signs, notices or directions given by KOTR volunteers, security, police or emergency officers. The purchase or wearing of a KOTR Event wristband is your acknowledgement of understanding and agreement to comply with all Terms and Conditions.

CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

This Code of Behaviour is the minimum standard of behaviour expected at KOTR;

  • Abide by all policies, rules and directions communicated by the KOTR.

  • Operate within the rules and spirit of King of the Ranges, promoting fair play over winning at any cost.

  • Encourage and support opportunities for people to learn appropriate behaviours and skills.

  • Support opportunities for participation in all aspects of the King of the Ranges.

  • Display control and courtesy to all involved with the King of the Ranges.

  • Respect the rights and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

  • Respect the decisions of officials and administrators in the conduct of the sport.

  • Wherever practical, avoid unaccompanied and unobserved one on one activity (when in a supervisory capacity or where a power imbalance will exist) with people under the age of 18 years.

  • Adopt appropriate and responsible behaviour in all interactions.

  • Adopt responsible behaviour concerning alcohol and other drugs.

  • Act with integrity and objectivity and accept responsibility for your decisions and actions.

  • Ensure your decisions and actions contribute to a safe environment.

  • Ensure your decisions and actions contribute to a harassment free environment.

  • Do not engage in harmful or abusive behaviours.

Parents/Legal Guardians

  • Encourage children to participate and have fun.

  • Focus on the child’s effort and performance rather than winning or losing.

  • Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a competition.

  • Respect the performances and efforts of all people.

  • Reject the use of violence in any form, whether it is by spectators, officials or competitors.

  • Remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment, not yours.

  • Encourage children to participate, do not force them.

  • Encourage children to compete according to the rules and to settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.

  • Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performance and skilful plays by all participants.

  • Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.

  • Respect officials' decisions and teach children to do likewise.

  • Show appreciation for officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate.

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
